We are so excited to announce the launch of our new Buy, Try, Keep or Return programme aka 'BTKR'. The idea of this is to enable brides to benefit from the amazing discounts in our online sale, with no obligation to keep the dresses they purchase. Keep reading to find out how this programme works and how you can benefit from the amazing savings.

What does Buy, Try, Keep or Return mean?

You find a dress you love in our online sample sale, however you are concerned about not liking the dress, or it not being quite the right size. No worries at all, with 'BTKR', you can make your purchase with no obligation to keep it. If you decide it's not right for you, just return it to us, and we provide you with a refund, depending on following our BTKR terms of sale.

How does Buy, Try, Keep or Return work?

  • You find a dress you love in our sample sale and complete your purchase via our online sale shop.
  • We receive your order confirmation, prep and pack your order. As part of our prep we will complete a thorough list of any known faults on the dress prior to shipping. We then send your order to the chosen shipping address. Please note this programme is only available for the UK.
  • As soon as you receive your dress, check it over against the fault sheet. Do not try it on until you have done this, we will explain in more detail shortly. If you notice anything in addition to our observations please email us with pictures, and we will confirm acceptance of the additional minor repairs. You are now free to try on your dress.
  • If you love it then you keep it. If you don't like it then arrange to have the dress sent back to us within 5 days from delivery.
  • Once we receive the dress back, we will check it against our checklist. If there are any additional faults that we were not made aware of you could be liable to a 15% damage charge against your refund amount. The check step really is vital and you must ensure to do this thoroughly.
  • Once our checks are complete we will process a refund via our website within 5 working days. It will take an additional 7-10 working days for your money to be refunded to your account.

Ordering

  • At this time we are limiting purchases on Buy, Try, Keep or Return to just one dress. If you have a specific request then please email us on info@rachelash.co.uk.

  • All of the dresses included in 'Buy, Try, Keep or Return' are listed on our wedding dress sale page. We are constantly adding new dresses to our sale page, so make sure to keep checking back if you don't find what you are looking for. If you have seen a dress in our main collection not in the sale, it's always worth emailing us to see if we are willing to sell our sample. Email us on info@rachelash.co.uk.

  • To purchase one of our dresses you can browse the collection on our sale page. Once you find the dress you love and accept these conditions of sale, click 'Buy Now' on the detail page and it will take you to our checkout via our online shop . If you are browsing directly from our storefront the button will be 'Add to Cart' and that will take you to checkout.

Known Defects & Additional Damages

  • It is extremely important that you check the dress versus our repair checklist prior to trying the gown. If you do this and cause damage to the dress you risk a 15% damage fee or potentially the full purchase amount if the dress is deemed irreparable from damage caused by the customer. If you notice a defect we haven't outlined please email us immediately with photographs. We will then confirm acceptance and you can proceed to trying the dress.

    All defects on wedding dress samples are generally repairable most often minor cosmetic defects or repairs. These can be resolved with dry cleaning or with your seamstress during alterations.

Dry Cleaning & Alterations

  • Please note that in most instances our sample sale dresses have not been dry cleaned. We always recommend that you get the dress dry cleaned prior to undertaking any alterations or repairs. We recommend using wedding dress specialist Terrington Burchett, as they will focus on any specific areas requiring more in depth cleaning. The purchase of a wedding dress via our online sale does not include any required dry cleaning or alterations. The dresses have been priced according to their condition with significant savings in most cases.

  • All wedding dresses require alterations, even if you have purchased a new dress. A wedding dress is not like clothing you buy from the high street, there is more structure and the fabrics more delicate, so you will always want to have the perfect fit for your wedding day. All sample dresses can be reduced in size by 1-2 dress sizes by a professional seamstress, some even more but that depends on the style of the dress.

  • As you have chosen to purchase your dress online we haven’t been able to welcome you to our boutique. Despite this we will still make our alterations specialist available to you. If you would like to use this service please contact us on info@rachelash.co.uk and we can check our availability. In some cases, no alterations are necessary, however it is likely that you will need some adjustments to your dress to ensure a perfect fit and potentially some minor repairs as it is a dress off the rack. Rachel Ash Bridalwear offers a fitting and alteration service, but this is an independent service provided by a fully experienced and skilled alterations specialist, these typically cost approximately £200-250, this is only an estimate and alterations costs vary for every customer.

Returns & Refunds

It is important that you are happy with your order, with 'BTKR' you can make a return for a refund provided you follow the conditions of the sale. The return must be dispatched from your address within 5 days of receipt from your delivery. Any refund requests received after 5 days from receipt will not be eligible for refund or acceptable for return.

Any returned purchases must be in their original packaging and condition with no additional signs of wear or tear. Products will be inspected upon return and in the unlikely event that the product is not sellable we will have to return it back to you and we will not be able to issue a refund. Any instance whereby the item has been damaged in a way not listed on the defects table provided but still sellable, will incur a damage fee of 15% of order value, this is to be applied at our discretion depending on the damage incurred, this is to cover the additional costs of repair/dry cleaning.

Customers are responsible for all postage costs on any returned goods. We will only pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (i.e. you received an incorrect item). Any refunds will be processed within 10 working days, and will not include any shipping costs.

You can return your order to us via any tracked method, we recommend you have insurance for your parcel, we will not be liable for goods that are lost or damaged in transit. Please keep your tracking reference for your records, customers are responsible for claiming all misplaced, lost, undelivered OR "abandoned" shipments directly with the shipper. Please ensure to package your return appropriately to prevent any damage to the item in transit.
