A tribute to Hollywood
Friday, 29th JanuaryOver here at Rachel Ash, we are in love with Pronovias’ 2021 Collection which is inspired by the glamourous Hollywood stars of past and present. There is something for everyone in this collection with dramatic ballgowns, stunningly elegant fit and flares, beautiful bohemian styles and intricate laces – all of which ooze class and sophistication, completely embodying their famous namesakes. You’d be hard pressed not to find a dress to fall in love with in this collection!
Aimee’s favourite: Ladd
When you think Hollywood it must be pure glam combined with elegance, a nod to old Hollywood with the touch of a modern bride. For me that has to Ladd, a beautiful mermaid fit gown that perfectly combines sleek Hollywood glam with its plain crepe skirt. The beautiful modern beaded top that can be worn lined or un-lined for a more modern sexy style. I just love the button back detail too, swoon.
Emma’s favourite: Lake
Named after one of the greats of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Lake is a beautifully romantic dress and has to be my favourite in the collection. I love the way traditional meets modern in the detail on the bodice, how this melts into the tulle skirt and the way the sequins subtly sparkle. Who wouldn’t want to look like a 1940s film star on their wedding day?
Louise’s favourite: Hopkins
The standout dress in this collection for me is the Hopkins. It shimmers and sparkles with every move and has the “wow” factor. The pockets are an added bonus which I love – and the opaque bodice modernises the traditional shape of the dress. The colour is a warm champagne shade which flatters all skin tones. Hopkins is versatile – she could be worn at a wedding in the European sunshine or at a magical winter wedding, making this dress an option for any date. Definitely one to be seen and tried!
