We have the lovely, smiley Lydia here on work experience this week.  She will be keeping a diary of her time spent with us and here is her first blog post which she has completed all on her own...  Well done Lydia, you are a natural social media queen!  Welcome to Rachel Ash Bridalwear.

Hello! My name is Lydia, I am fifteen years old and I am delighted to be currently working in Rachel Ash Bridalwear as part of my Work Experience. Every time I pass the shop, I look forward to seeing the latest beautiful dresses in the windows and I am so pleased to be able to work behind the gorgeous displays and gain an insight into the world of this lovely shop. On my first day, I was welcomed so warmly by Rachel and Ashleigh and began lots of exciting things.

I started by creating a summer wedding board on Pinterest and enjoyed perusing lots of lovely summery ideas for weddings, even gaining a spot of inspiration for my wedding, despite being only fifteen!

Manami by Pronovias and a dusky pink bridesmaids dress from Maids to Measure was Lydia’s pick of the day...

I was then greeted with the excitement of picking my favourite dress in the shop which was a very tough decision as the array of dresses are all absolutely gorgeous and are all special in their own way. I finally made my decision and opted for a very pretty dress, detailed with sequins and pearls. My excitement was then added to further when I was able to choose a bridesmaid dress as well! I decided to choose a dusky pink dress, which I thought would complement the wedding dress. I then chose a pearl hair accessory and also a beautiful pair of silver and white shoes. Choosing my favourite dresses really showed me what a lovely experience it is for brides and also how helpful Rachel and Ashleigh are in Rachel Ash Bridalwear.

My second day was just as fantastic as my first! I was really looking forward to my second day as my first day was so interesting and I was so pleased to be asked to help create a new window display- something that I have always  admired as I go past Rachel Ash Bridalwear and something that I have always liked to help create myself. To be involved in creating another gorgeous display by Rachel and Ashleigh was such a lovely and exciting thing for me and I couldn't wait to begin!

Throughout the day, Ashleigh and I made lots of vines of flowers, ready to accompany the beautiful dresses in the window. The theme is Summer so a summery dress was chosen to place in the window as well as two pretty bridesmaid dresses. I think that the Summer themed window would definitely inspire lots of soon-to-be brides, looking for a perfect dress as the dresses in Rachel Ash Bridalwear are all absolutely stunning and would appeal to lots of people walking along the street looking in the window and many hopeful customers.
